Happy Tuesday! It is my wedding week and I could not be more excited. I threw a bridal shower to celebrate this new season. If you are like me, we have several weddings and events coming up this year. Check out our tips and tricks for hosting a bridal shower.
For the decor, I wanted to keep it simple. I stayed with a neutral color palette of gold and white with touches of blush. I love the idea of decorating with personalized pieces that the bride and groom can take home and keep as a memory of their shower. This Coton Colors platter with the "Going to the Chapel" attachment was the perfect piece to include as a gift. I used an array of white serving pieces including pieces from my Nora Fleming collection.
I also love the idea of themed showers such as a fiesta or barbecue especially if it is a joint shower with the groom. You want to make sure you keep the couple's taste in mind.
For this shower, I kept to traditional food such as finger sandwiches, cheese, fruit, and an assortment of sweets. I used paper diamond cutouts found on Etsy with mini powdered doughnuts to create "rings". You could also use these for cupcake toppers.
Find out what the bride and groom's favorite foods are and see if you can incorporate it into the shower. I love to pack a to go bag with leftover treats for the couple too.
We had plenty of Jackson Morgan salted caramel cream for cocktails. I also had elderflower sparking lemonade. Many showers include a mimosa bar, but I love the idea of a coffee bar with different toppings and types of coffee.
Stay tuned for more details from this fun shower.
