Mother's Day Outdoor Brunch

The weather is ideal for outdoor brunch parties during May in Tennessee. For our brunch table, we incorporated green, navy, and pops of yellow for a fresh color scheme. Instead of using a traditional vase, I opted for a floral watering can filled with grocery store hydrangeas for a more casual vibe. I flanked the table with planters full of my favorite herbs, hydrangeas, and boxwoods. A whimsical fringe umbrella kept guests comfortable during the midday sun.

The Nora Fleming melamine collection was exceptional for serving food outside without having to worry about pieces breaking. The loveliest South of Libbie monogram napkins held a menu card by Ruthie and Oliver Letterpress. How fun are these melamine lettuce plates? They were a Homegoods find, but I linked similar plates below. I used bamboo flatware since it was a casual occasion. I love to use place cards even for informal settings, it is a tiny detail that elevates any event.

We served simple brunch staples including tea sandwiches, mini waffles, fresh fruit, chantilly cake adorned with berries, cookies, and cheese straws. I had iced coffee ready for Jackson Morgan Southern Cream spiked drinks. I incorporated galvanized platters and trays to serve food and to coordinate with the chargers.
