Creamsicle Milkshake Recipe

Is there anything better than a milkshake on a hot summer day? This creamsicle recipe is a favorite in the summer and so easy to make. We hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do.

Creamsicle Milkshake

Ingredients:

3 Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream

3 Scoops Orange Sherbet Ice Cream

1/3 Cup Jackson Morgan Southern Cream in Whipped Orange

Whipped Cream, for garnish

Directions:

Combine vanilla ice cream, orange sherbet, and Jackson Morgan in a blender. Blend until milkshake consistency. Top with whipped cream. Serve immediately in a chilled glass.

Spiked Whipped Orange Milkshake

This is one of the cocktails I served at our summer bbq, you can find more details about that party here. There is something classic about a whipped orange creamsicle that just takes me back to my childhood, without the alcohol of course. This adult version is a favorite amongst my friends and one of our most requested recipes.

Spiked Whipped Orange Milkshake

Ingredients:

1 1/2 Ounces Jackson Morgan Southern Cream in whipped orange

3-4 Scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream

Whipped Cream (for Garnish)

Orange Creamsicle Cotton Candy (for Garnish)

Directions:

For this tasty cocktail, add vanilla ice cream and Jackson Morgan in whipped orange to a blender and blend until well combined. You may need to add more ice cream depending on how thick you want your milkshake. Pour the mixture into a chilled glass, then top with whipped cream and orange cotton candy. I found the creamsicle cotton candy from Sugar Drop and it was a huge hit at the party.

Nashville Lifestyle's Drink of the Month

We are thrilled our cocktail, The Max, is the drink of the month at Nashville Lifestyles. This tasty cocktail combines Jackson Morgan whipped orange with Afrohead rum and vanilla ice cream into a frozen treat that will remind you of your childhood.

This drink is available at Kung Fu Saloon in Midtown Nashville. We might be bias, but this is the perfect drink to sip on during patio season.

Spooky Halloween Bar Cart

What's not to love about this time of year? Candy, cocktails, and festive costumes galore! For Halloween, I made my bar cart spooky. I scored this black rattan bar cart from World Market in the clearance section.

Jackson Morgan's whipped orange cream is the perfect drink for Halloween. I made the bottles spooky with 3D bat stickers. I used a plain chocolate cake and added this "Boo" cake topper from Swoozies. I love the way it turned out and it was easy! I found these spooky eyeball gum balls from Home Goods which worked perfect in my apothecary jar. This skull decanter was a great addition and also very practical. What is a Halloween party without candy? I stored candy in this Coton Color's bowl with the pumpkin attachment.

Stay tuned for my spooky orange cocktail recipe and more Halloween fun.

Start of Summer Porch Party

It is almost officially summer! To celebrate, I hosted a start of summer porch party. Porch parties are such a southern tradition. I love the causal vibe of a summer party.

Menu

I wanted to keep it simple with just a few sips and snacks for guests. I could not think of anything more appropriate for the start of summer than salad in a jar, lobster rolls, cole slaw, corn, black cherries, and watermelon. To make the salad in a jar, simply place favorite salad ingredients in a mason jar, add twine and tie a fun plastic fork to the jar.

Drinks

We served several Jackson Morgan cocktails including whipped orange and peaches and cream. Old fashioned glass sodas were in the ice bucket on the ground. I also had lemon water in my fun pineapple drink dispenser.

Decor

I wanted the gathering to feel causal, but yet still be festive. I hung outdoor curtains for privacy and planted window boxes to add a touch of color. I also hung outdoor party lights for lighting after the sun went down. We served food on melamine plates and platters, so we did not have to worry about the plates breaking outside. You can shop all of the decor from my porch party with the links below.

Valentine's Day Gift Guide for the Guys

Valentine's Day always comes across as a girls holiday, but we cannot forget about the guys. I always struggle finding the right present amongst all of the pink and red candy and heart shaped gifts.

What guy would not love a cooler paired with a bottle of Jackson Morgan? We found this green Yeti cooler that would work well for tailgating or even hunting trips. Our whipped orange flavor is always a winner with men. A rugged vest or insulated cup that works with both hot or cold drinks also make great gifts for Valentine's Day.

Cheers!

Check out our gift guide for the hostess too!

Halloween Cocktail Party

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, I love dressing up and the cooler temperatures. To celebrate, I threw a little porch party at my family's farm. We had spiked desserts, tasty cocktails, and even "adult trick or treating". Why should kids be the only ones that receive treats on Halloween? Mini Jackson Morgan bottles are perfect for adult parties.

I made my bar cart the cocktail station complete with orange paper straws and festive cups. Jackson Morgan's whipped orange cream is the perfect flavor for Halloween. Who can resist the orange color? We mixed the whipped orange with Tennessee whiskey for an irresistible cocktail.

To throw your own Halloween porch party, all you need are favors such as our mini bottles, sweet treats, cocktails, and a few decorations such as pumpkins and a festive banner.

Cheers!

P.S. More Halloween treats to come on The Sip!
