Fall Hostess Gift

During the fall season, I always like to have a hostess gift on hand. I guess it stems from my mother always telling me to not show up to someone’s home empty handed, but I love the tradition nonetheless.

Between Halloween and Thanksgiving, there are always last minute parties or trips that require a gift. Hostess gifts are perfect for staying overnight at someone’s home, party gifts, or even “booing” or “ghosting” your neighbor if you neighborhood participates.

My favorite hostess gift is to include items In a white serving bowl or large measuring cup. Here I used a bottle of our fall flavor of Jackson Morgan Southern Cream, apple cider, seasonal dish towel, fall candle, pumpkin bread mix, and a wooden spoon.

What are your favorite hostess gifts?

Thanksgiving Dessert & To Go Station

For my Thanksgiving table, I did not have enough room for desserts on the table so I made a dessert and to go station on a sideboard nearby. We had pumpkin cheesecake and Brightside Bakery treats.

Since Thanksgiving is notorious for leftovers, I included the cutest "thankful for leftovers" bags and pie boxes for leftovers. I made the pie leftover boxes into a party favor by tying a mini Jackson Morgan bottle to the top. I scored these pie boxes in the Target dollar bin, but linked a similar option below.

You can shop this post with the images below. Do you have a dessert table or area for Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving Table

Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away, I feel like every year it sneaks up on me. This year I decided to use a non traditional color scheme and I could not be more thrilled by the way it turned out. The combination of blush, gold, and white is beautiful and matched our Jackson Morgan brown sugar bottles perfectly. These stunning blush coupe glasses from Anthropologie inspired the color scheme.

Tips for Designing your Thanksgiving Table

  • Pick one statement color and then use neutrals for everything else.
  • Add personal touches such as monogramed linens. I found these on Etsy and they come in several different colors.
  • Be careful of the height of your floral arrangements and candles to make sure guests can see over it.
  • When designing your table, think about the serving dishes you plan to use and make sure you have enough room on your table. This pink Le Creuset dutch oven is one of my favorites and made the stuffing a little more exciting on the table.
  • Make your table interactive, I found these fun party crackers that have conversation starters inside once opened.
  • Make a dessert and cocktail station separate from your table to allow more room for the main course.
  • Don't be afraid to borrow items from friends or family, my mom has the most amazing collection of white serving pieces that I always borrow for big events.

You can shop my entire table with the images below. Do you have your Thanksgiving table planned out yet?

It is apple season in Tennessee! Jackson Morgan's brown sugar and cinnamon southern cream is the perfect accompaniment for apple pies, turnovers, or cobbler. We even love our creams in warmed apple cider.

We had pumpkin and pecan pie (spiked with Jackson Morgan as always). For my full Friendsgiving party, check out the original post here.

Tips for Hosting Friendsgiving

Sources: Navy Printed Plates | Gold FlatwareBar Cart | Blue Lace Dress | Blue Patterned Dress

I recently hosted Friendsgiving for a few of my closest friends. Friendsgiving is the perfect time to show your friends how thankful you are for your friendship. Also, I love Friendsgiving because it is not as serious as traditional Thanksgiving with family. We had all of the classic Thanksgiving dishes, spiked with Jackson Morgan of course (recipes coming soon). I even made the turkey by myself!

Tips for Hosting Friendsgiving

  • Have appetizers ready just in case the food is not ready when your guests arrive.
  • Festival cocktails are a must, we mixed Jackson Morgan's brown sugar and cinnamon with cinnamon whiskey then served the cocktail in fancy coupe glasses.
  • Don't be afraid to use a non traditional color palate for your event. I used navy and orange and loved the way it looked.
  • Bar carts are not just for cocktails, I used mine as a pie bar for this event.

Fall has finally arrived! Enjoy the cooler temperatures by gathering a group of friends and hosting a fall picnic.
