Boozy Peanut Butter Banana Pudding Recipe

I recently when to a restaurant where they had peanut butter banana pudding on the dessert menu. After finishing dessert, I got to work recreating the recipe, but a boozy version with Jackson Morgan Southern Cream in banana pudding! I love this recipe because you can pre-make before guests arrive and it is easy to serve, all you need is a spoon.

Peanut Butter Banana Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:

1 Package of Mini Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies

4 Bananas

8 Ounces Whipped Cream Topping

1 Box of Instant Banana Pudding Mix

1/2 Cup Jackson Morgan Southern Cream in Banana Pudding, Cold

1 1/2 Cup Milk, Cold

Directions:

Gather all of your ingredients and four stemless, shatterproof wine glasses. Make the instant pudding first according to the instructions on the box, but substitute 1/2 cup of Jackson Morgan Southern Cream in banana pudding for the milk. Mix the remainder of the milk with the pudding mix until a pudding consistency forms. You can add more Jackson Morgan instead of milk if you prefer for it to be boozier. Slice the fresh bananas and set aside.

In each wine glass, layer mini peanut butter cookies, fresh bananas, banana pudding, and whipped cream topping. I used piping bags for the pudding and whipped cream topping for easier assembling. Make sure you go in this order so your peanut butter cookies will not be soggy, end with whipped cream topping. Serve immediately or keep in the fridge until guests arrive.

Cheers!

Flatbread and Boozy Ice Cream Party

Who else had pizza and ice cream parties growing up? We took an adult spin with the party theme and hosted a grilled flatbread and boozy ice cream party, the perfect party for the middle of summer. My brother, Jackson, had no complaints about being the taste tester for the boozy ice cream.

Color Scheme

Since it was an outdoor party, I wanted cheerful colors. The rainbow table runner set the scene followed by the bright yellow watering can as a flower vase. I used basic white hydrangeas from the grocery store for flowers, I always keep a few of these around the house during the summer months for impromptu gatherings. Pink silverware and colorful napkins added to the color scheme.

Menu

With the help of the Big Green Egg, we grilled flatbreads for an elevated pizza party. Along with the pizza, I served an easy Caesar salad. I had toppings for the pizza by the grill for a build your own pizza. Fresh basil in a mason jar, mozzarella, tomatoes, olive oil, and pepperonis was the base for the pizzas. You can add any of your favorite pizza toppings. For dessert, we served boozy ice cream and festive toppings for sundaes. The boozy ice cream recipes are coming soon to The Sip.

Tablescape

I wanted to keep the decor simple for this table. I used a colorful paper Hester and Cook runner as the base. Instead of traditional plates, I used wooden serving boards. These boards look like mini pizza paddles and could double as a party favor for guests. If given the option, I always go for melamine serving dishes and cups when hosting outside to minimize broken pieces. I adore Sugar and Cloth’s line on Amazon for tableware. The silverware, straws, napkins, and ice cream coupes are all disposable without looking inexpensive, this makes clean up a breeze too.

Boozy Banana Pudding

Banana pudding is a staple in the south. We serve it for birthdays, holidays, or just because. My mom came up with the idea for Jackson Morgan in the banana pudding flavor. They always say your mother is always right and she hit the nail on the head with this flavor. You can serve this dish many ways, but we preferred a layered dessert in a trifle dish growing up.

Boozy Banana Pudding

Ingredients:

1 Box of Vanilla Wafers

4 Bananas

8 Ounces Whipped Cream Topping

1 Box of Instant Banana Pudding Mix

1/2 Cup Jackson Morgan Southern Cream in Banana Pudding, Cold

1 1/2 Cup Milk, Cold

Dried Banana Chips, optional garnish

Directions:

Gather all of your ingredients and trifle dish.

In a trifle bowl, layer vanilla wafers, fresh bananas, banana pudding, and whipped cream topping. Make sure you go in this order so your vanilla wafers will not be soggy, end with whipped cream topping. Place four vanilla wafers in a sealed plastic bag and use a rolling pin to crumble the cookies. Sprinkle the crushed cookies over the whipped cream topping and place a few banana chips on top as a garnish. Serve immediately.

Cheers!

Easter Brunch

It is hard to believe Easter is right around the corner, we have had a few spring-like days in Tennessee, and I hope the cold weather is behind us. For the first time, I am hosting my family for Easter. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to give my Mom a break from entertaining. I plan to use this same tablescape, but hopefully move it outside if it is nice weather.

Color Scheme

After what feels like the longest winter, I was ready for a fresh color scheme. The bright green gingham paired with the brown bunny plates created a pretty color scheme. I incorporated texture with natural elements such as the seagrass chargers and moss bunnies. Pops of gold added a nice modern touch, how cute are these gold foiled bunnies?! The art over the bar cart is where the color inspiration came from, I adore this floral print by Inslee.

Menu

I am a traditionalist when it comes to Easter menu planning. For our Easter brunch, we had spiral ham, scalloped potatoes, deviled eggs, asparagus tart, glazed carrots, roasted artichokes, rolls, boozy banana pudding (recipe coming to The Sip soon), and of course Jackson Morgan Southern Cream cocktails. I especially love our peaches and cream and banana pudding flavors this time of year.

Decor

Although I love fresh flowers, they often die too quickly. For this table, I used speckled egg vase filler in a pretty hurricane that I can display all spring and reuse next year. I added mini moss baskets, which holds Jackson Morgan Southern Cream mini bottles perfectly for party favors. My crystal glasses dressed up the table for the occasion. I was thrilled when I found these crystal cordial glasses, which are basically a fancy shot glass to serve Jackson Morgan in for parties. Ruthie and Oliver letterpress place cards matched the napkins and table throw well.

How are you celebrating Easter? #sipandbesocial

How to Create a Brunch Coffee Bar

For Jackson Morgan's Easter Brunch, we already shared recipes for spiked banana bread and iced coffee. We swapped out our usual bar cart for a coffee bar. This set up is easy and you can use items you already own.

How to Create a Coffee Bar:

  • Pick a theme, for our coffee bar we chose bright colors for spring.
  • Use coffee mugs you already own and mix and match. We used a variety of Ashley Brooke Design's mugs. Everyone picked their favorite saying to sip on coffee.
  • Pick your favorite liquor, we of course had our spring flavors of Jackson Morgan (banana pudding and salted caramel). We also had champagne for mimosas.
  • For your mixers, use carafes. We had iced coffee, hot coffee (we kept the hot coffee near the coffee maker), and orange juice.
  • Include fun items such as paper straws, hazelnut wafers (for coffee stirrers), tray, flowers, and artwork.
  • Have alternative drinks such as sparkling water for between cocktails.

Cheers!

Adult Easter Basket

Easter is around the corner, children should not be the only ones who receive Easter baskets. Why not make an "adult" Easter basket? Show your besties some love with an assortment of spring treats.

For our adult basket, we included fancy chocolates from William-Sonoma including a chocolate bunny, jelly beans, chocolate eggs, and speckled eggs. A "Hello Sunshine" mug from Ashley Brooke Designs. Last but not least a bottle of Jackson Morgan in banana pudding. You could also include candles, cocktail glasses, coffee beans, a favorite movie, or nail polish.

Cheers!

Banana Iced Coffee

With the start of Spring, we have traded in our traditional hot coffee for iced coffee. For brunch or an afternoon pick me up, this coffee cocktail is our go to treat. Simply add Jackson Morgan banana pudding to your favorite iced coffee.

Ingredients:

·   8 oz Iced Coffee

·   1 1/2 Oz Jackson Morgan Southern Cream in Banana Pudding
